With so many of our favorite places and activities unable to open or functioning in a diminished capacity, it's wonderful to hear that the state has announced that ski resorts can now reopen. When the COVID-19 pandemic struck New York State this March, The Andes Hotel shut its doors with no immediate plan to reopen. Locals and visitors alike sorely missed like this central meeting place in the heart of the village.

But good news has come to Andes. Andes resident Derek Curl has purchased and reopened the hotel and he and his staff are ready to serve you. The re-imagined hotel opened on October 2nd as an outdoor food and beer garden in the rear of the hotel, complete with tents and heat lamps.

"I've been in love with this place since the first time I ever visited the town, I am honored to be the next guardian of the great times at The Andes Hotel," says Derek.
