Music in the Woods-Maverick Concerts
MUSIC IN THE MOUNTAINS
These mountains are a very special place and a very special place for music.
Hosting continuous summer chamber music festivals each year, the Maverick Concerts continue to honor centuries of world class music deep in the woods of the Catskills. Primarily hosted from the months of June, July and September, the programming offers Sunday chamber music concerts performed by renowned soloists and ensembles. Though through the recent seasons, Jazz and Contemporary music have played a significant role in the event as well.
Arranged to impart unto the youth the power and wonder of various musical genres, the event is free for those 16 and under. Catskills Culinary Spotlight: Matthew's on Main
When we ask people why they chose to buy a home in the Catskills, many say the food. They are lured by the farm fresh food that can be found at farmers markets, stands and stores.
